About Professional Choice Insurance

Sonny began his career with Prudential Insurance in 1987 as a life insurance agent. When Prudential opened their financial services planning division, he earned the distinction as a Preferred Advisor, offering fee-based financial planning services to his clients. After a successful career with Prudential, he decided to open his own office, servicing his clients' employee benefits needs in addition to financial planning. For more than 10 years, his passion has been to build an organization and agency by which he could nurture his relationships with his clients and offer them more than just insurance. Peach Insurance Services then acquired Professional Choice Insurance. This acquisition enabled the agency to become a full service agency and expand into property and casualty insurance. As president of PCI, Sonny oversees the company's operations and is directly involved in the growth of the organization. Sonny currently holds Series 7 and 63 licenses in addition to his life/health and property/casualty licenses.

Marlon joined our team in 2004 and quickly became a key contributor to the team's success. As the managing agent over the property and casualty business, his versatile insurance knowledge and experience allows him to bring a holistic approach in providing the proper insurance protection to both individuals and companies alike. "Having worked for both Fortune 500 companies and local small businesses, I understand the need for overall professionalism and relating to clients on a personal level. Providing insurance strategies that meet our client's needs in a quick and thorough manner is my goal." A background in accounting has enabled him to provide detailed analytical attention in a very fast-paced environment. He is a loving husband and a proud father of two beautiful children. He is active in his community and in his church where he serves and volunteers.

Abner came to Professional Choice Insurance with sixteen years of healthcare experience. His career began with Foundation Health. Thereafter, he spent ten years with Health Net insurance company working in their ancillary department. Over the years, Abner has established a solid reputation of providing excellent bilingual service and understanding the needs of the Hispanic market. Utilizing his extensive market knowledge and innovative benefits strategies, Abner will provide you with the necessary tools and support to help you choose the best benefit plan for your business. Whether you need an effective solution to a complex employee benefit plan or bilingual support for open enrollment, he is dedicated to providing his clients with the highest level of employee/employer benefits and services.

Jessica began working at Professional Choice Insurance Services in 2003 [prior to Peach Insurance Services acquisition of PCI] as part of the property and casualty department. Currently, at Professional Choice Insurance, she assists clients with their insurance needs. Jessica also assists Marlon with insurance policy renewals, endorsements and customer service related duties. Prior to working at Professional Choice Insurance, she attended South Coast College and graduated with a certificate in legal assisting in 2001. Jessica took courses in business technology, computer applications after she completed her 2-year program. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her two children, reading literature, going to the beach, and bike riding.

Ladi joined our team in 2003 as an employee benefits specialist and account manager for individual and group coverage. Her insurance career began in 2000 where she worked for Prudential Insurance. Prior to coming to the United States she traveled, studied and taught languages in Europe. Ladi also speaks fluent Czech, Slovak, Russian and German and understands all Slavic languages. Over the past few years, Ladi has been assisting Sonny and supporting his health benefits business and servicing the company's clients' needs.

Marcella joined Professional Choice Insurance in 2010 as our Social Media Director. She began her career in sales, for a large computer company, soon after graduating college at Brigham Young University. She graduated with a BA in Spanish and a minor in Business Management. She also learned to speak Spanish fluently by serving within her church, as well as within her community. With her proficiency Marcella is able to provide our clients with the latest information via all Professional Choice Insurance social media outlets. “I want to make sure all of our clients feel like we genuinely care and they are not simply our customers, they are family.” In addition to working in the office, she is a devoted wife and cheerful mother of two incredible kids.
