About Professional Choice Insurance

Sonny Peach

Sonny founded Professional Choice Insurance in 2004. At Professional Choice Insurance, he runs the business as well as manages his team. Before he started his own company, he worked as a representative for Prudential beginning in 1987. While at Prudential, he helped clients with life insurance and annuities. During that first year in the business, he acquired his Series 7 and Series 63 Licenses.

At Prudential, he managed his team of agents for three years and received an award as a Prudential Preferred Advisor. He was then able to help clients with fee-based financial planning and eventually was able to open up his own office in 1995. Later, he branched off and started a co-owned insurance company called, Peach-Gibbs Insurance.

Marlon Avalos

Marlon Avalos joined Professional Choice insurance in 2004 and quickly became an integral member in the team's success. His versatile insurance knowledge and experience allows him to bring a holistic approach in providing the proper insurance protection to both individuals and companies alike.

Having a background in Accounting and having been raised in New York has enabled him to provide detailed analytical attention in a very fast paced environment. He is a loving husband and a proud father of two beautiful children. He is active in his community and in his Church where he serves and volunteers.

Abner Aponte

Abner came to Professional Choice Insurance with almost 16 years of healthcare experience. His career began with Foundation Health. Thereafter he spent 10 years with Health Net, in addition to working in their ancillary department. Over the years, Abner has established a solid reputation of providing excellent bilingual service and understating the needs of the Hispanic market.

With Abner's extensive market knowledge and innovative benefits strategies, he will provide you the necessary tools and support to help your business thrive. Whether you need an effective solution to a complex employee benefit need or bilingual support for open enrollment, he is dedicated to providing his clients with the highest level of employee/employer benefits and services.

Jessica Robertson

Jessica joined Professional Choice Insurance Services in October 2003 as part of the Property and Casualty Department. She assists clients with their insurance needs, and is also an assistant to the managing Agent with Insurance Policy Renewals, endorsements, and customer service related duties. Before coming to Professional Choice Insurance, she attended South Coast College and graduated with a certificate in Legal Assisting in 2001. After she completed the two year program, she also took courses in Business Technology ~ Computer applications. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two children, reading literature, going to the beach, and bike riding

Ladi Navratilova

Ladi joined Professional Choice Insurance in 2003 as an employee benefits specialist and account manager for individual and group coverage. Her insurance career began in 2000 where she worked for Prudential. Before Ladi came to the United States, she traveled, studying and learning languages in Europe. She was born in the Czech Republic where she learned her first language, Czech. She speaks fluent Slovak, Russian and German and understands any Slavic languages. Over the past few years, Ladi has been assisting Sonny to keep his medical business growing and service his current client's needs.

Patty Duenas

Patty joined the Professional Choice Insurance team in 2009. She brings 15 years of business professional experience. Her career began with a Washington D.C.-based private equity investor firm. Thereafter, she spent some time with The Irvine Company with the residential marketing group and Alliant Insurance working with the public entity unit. Over the years, Patty has established a solid reputation of providing excellent customer service and understanding the needs of group and individual markets. Patty works closely with Sonny, servicing the life and health business of Professional Choice Insurance.

Kayla Douglass

Kayla came to Professional Choice Insurance in 2010. At PCI, she meets with clients, markets the company, runs the social networking, and films/edits client videos for the website. She graduated from California State University Fullerton with a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast/Journalism and a minor in Speech Communications. She graduated Cum Laude with a 3.5 GPA and was in the top 15 percent of her class. In 2008, she received the Best Anchor of the Year award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

She has experience as an anchor/reporter/host/director/producer/crew for five separate television productions in Orange County. In her last semester at school, she completed an internship as a programming assistant at Clear Channel Radio in Los Angeles. She is currently with Clear Channel/Total Traffic LA as a Reporter/Producer. She also works as the Sales & Marketing Coordinator for Professional Choice Insurance. Beginning Fall 2010, Kayla will begin the Master's Program in Speech Communications at CSUF.

Drake Peach

Drake has recently been introduced to the insurance business and is learning rather quickly on what it takes to be a great Property and Casualty agent. Before coming to Professional Choice Insurance, he worked as a host at Lucille's BBQ. He spent a year and a half on refining his expertise in Customer Service. Prior to that, he worked at Starbuck's, where he was a barista and worked with customers on a daily basis.

His skills in customer service have been well sharpened with these two companies. He is currently attending California State University Long Beach, earning his bachelor's degree in Business- Marketing. He one day hopes to pursue an MBA. At Professional Choice Insurance, he works in the property and casualty personal lines, focusing on home, auto, and Umbrella insurance policies.
